Raise The Roof! Buy a Slate.

The Kirk roof is being severely damaged by the elements and the Friends of Fetlar Kirk have launched a fundraising campaign to pay for a full roof replacement which is estimated at £150,000.

Without urgent action the buildings interior and original fabric will be damaged beyond repair, negatively affecting the historic home of island community worship and heritage.

The “Buy a Slate” initiative is encouraging supporters to symbolically purchase a Welsh slate which are required to match the original slates from the existing roof.
